7 Powerful Tips To Help You Focus Better


It is estimated that 5.4 million American children (ages 4-17) and 8 million adults have some form of ADD/ADHD (.  This common metal health issue is characterized by inattention, hyperactivity and impulsiveness. Some of the symptoms include difficulty following directions, remembering information, concentrating, organizing tasks, or completing work within time limits. Blahhh Blahhh Blah. I never got tested but I am sure if I got tested for ADD they would try to medicate me too and make money from it. (That’s a whole different issue) In the age of social networks, apps, cell phones, tablets, on demand tv, and the internet, who does’nt have trouble focusing on what we’re supposed to. I want to share 7 tips that will help you, if they worked for me they will work for you trust me!

Definition- Pay particular attention to

1.    Only schedule 3 MUST do tasks a day

Everyone has things they need to get done, but inactuality there are usually only a few tasks that deserve your attention each day. Some tasks appear urgent but they are not important, others appear important but they are not urgent. Only focus on the tasks that are high urgency and high importance first. Then schedule the tasks that are high importance low urgency, and so on… If you will focus on 3 truly IMPORTANT tasks you will easily multiply your productivity.

2.    Use Evernote to remember everything of importance to you

Evernote by far is my favorite app of all time! It is literally my second brain! Evernote makes it easy to remember things big and small from your everyday life. You can use it to take notes, save web pages, create to do lists, and so much more. It also syncs the info computer, phone, tablet and the web.

3.Use to analyze what may be grabbing your attention

RescueTime automatically records your time spent on websites and it helps you  to get a basic understanding of howyou’re spending your time in front of the computer.  Download it FREE

4. Download Self Control App Freedom for Windows

This software Self Control ( is a free app that lets you block your own access to distracting websites, your mail servers, or anything else on the Internet. Just set a period of time to block for, add sites to your blacklist, and click “Start.” Until that timer expires, you will be unable to access those sites–even if you restart your computer or delete the application. 5.Turn your phone off completely
When I really need to focus I have to turn off my cell phone completely to get stuff done. This may seem easy but it can be very hard since most of us are glued to our phones.

6.Listen to your favorite song or album and keep it on repeat
Music is a powerful tool that can evoke emotions like nothing else, so if you have your favorite tune on, or album that pleasure will make un-pleasurable task more do able.

7.    Do the hardest task first and give it all your energy
This is very hard to get through but it makes your day flow easier because everything from there will be easy. Once you do your hardest task first, that gives you a boost of confidence and sense of accomplishment which will create the desire to complete more.
